ORGANIKA form I

This ORGANIKA piece explores a more subtle kind of movement.

The lines that travel up and around the form were created through a new way of working with the clay, allowing the movement to build gradually across the surface and draw the eye into the form.

What I particularly love about this piece are the soft, almost understated folds. They aren’t immediately obvious, but as you look closer, they shift the way the light falls across the surface and give the form a quiet sense of movement.

The shape developed entirely through the making process, with each line and fold responding to what came before it. The result is a form that feels both considered and spontaneous.

The interior is glazed, but this piece is intended as a sculptural work rather than as a vessel for water.
